MCG enforces curbs on construction & waste burning as GRAP-I kicks in

Hotels, restaurants and eateries have been warned against using coal or firewood and must now rely solely on electricity or clean fuels such as piped natural gas.
MCG additional commissioner Ravinder Yadav said on Thursday, "Officials have been directed to submit an action taken report daily at 9am from the previous day. Data of the penalties imposed will also be updated daily at 9am."
Daily compliance reports must be submitted to the nodal officer, executive engineer (horticulture) Sandeep Kumar, who was appointed to oversee GRAP implementation.
